Kargil Vijay Diwas (कारगिल विजय दिवस) is celebrated on the 26 of July every year in India to commemorate India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War in 1999. The Pakistani Forces were ousted from the positions that they had illegally occupied in the mountains of Northern Kargil District in Ladakh. It is the day when a grateful nation pays homage to the bravest of the brave who made the supreme sacrifice to ensure the integrity of our nation’s border.
