समुद्ररूपी वस्त्र धारण करनेवाली, पर्वतरूपी स्तनों वाली एवं भगवान श्रीविष्णु की पत्नी, हे भूमिदेवी, मैं आपको नमस्कार करता हूँ । आप मुझे क्षमा करें क्योंकि मेरे पैर आपको (आपके पवित्र देह) को स्पर्श करेंगे|

O Earth Goddess (Devi Earth), the oceans adorn you like garments and the mountains are your bosom. O Consort of Lord Vishnu, salutations to you. Please forgive me for my feet will touch you (your pure body).
