त्रिविधं नरकस्येदं द्वारं नाशनमात्मनः।

कामः क्रोधस्तथा लोभस्तस्मादेतत्त्रयं त्यजेत्।।

काम, क्रोध और लोभ, नरक के त्रिविध द्वार हैं| भगवान श्रीक़ृष्ण कहते हैं कि आत्मा का नाश करने वाली इन तीनों आसुरी प्रवृत्तियों को त्याग देना चाहिए।

Lust, anger and greed are the three gateways to hell. Lord Krishna exhorts human beings to renounce these three demonic tendencies as they lead to the destruction of the atma (loosely translated as soul or self).

trividhaṅ narakasyēdaṅ dvāraṅ nāśanamātmanaḥ|

kāmaḥ krōdhastathā lōbhastasmādētattrayaṅ tyajēt৷৷
