Basant Panchami | Saraswati Puja | वसन्त पञ्चमी Sanskrit Greetings

Vasant Panchami (Basant Panchami or Saraswati Puja or Shri Panchami) is celebrated on the fifth day of the Hindu month of Magh (January – February). Believed to be an auspicious day, it is primarily dedicated to Goddess Saraswati in many parts of the country. She is worshipped across educational institutions with great fervour.

वसन्त पञ्चमी (सरस्वती पूजा या श्री पञ्चमी) माघ मास (जनवरी-फरवरी) के कृष्ण पक्ष की पञ्चमी तिथि को मनाई जाती है| शस्त्रों के अनुसार इस दिन को एक अत्यन्त शुभ दिवस की मान्यता प्राप्त है| देश के अनेकानेक हिस्सों में इस पर्व पर विद्या की देवी सरस्वती की पूजा-अर्चना होती है| शिक्षण संस्थानों में वसन्त पञ्चमी का विशेष महत्व है।
