Diwali or Deepavali is one of India’s grandest festivals which holds religious significance for Hindus, Jains and Sikhs. It is celebrated by members of all communities across the nation and many parts of the world. The word Deepavali means rows of lamps and it is the diyas or lamps that are the lasting symbols of this mesmerising festivals. Team Cultural Samvaad has put together a host of wishes, sanskrit shlokas and greetings that you can use to wish your loved ones, family members, neighbours and business associates. Happy Diwali or शुभ दीपावली in Sanskrit, Hindi and English. Most of these greetings are traditional in nature and they span the many divinities that are invoked on दिवाली including Mata Mahalakshmi, Maha Ganpati, Maa Kali, Yaksha Kubera, Maa Saraswati, Yamaraja and of course the divine light of the diya or deepak or Diwali Lamp.
