भगवान श्रीक़ृष्ण कहते हैं कि जिससे लोक (एवं समस्त जीव) संतप्त या क्षुब्ध नहीं होता, जो स्वयं भी लोक से उद्वेग का अनुभव नहीं करता तथा जो हर्ष, अमर्ष (असहिष्णुता), भय और अन्य उद्वेगों से मुक्त होता है, वह भक्त मुझे प्रिय है।

Lord Krishna states that the person (the karma yogi) by whom the world (and all beings) is not disturbed; who is not disturbed or agitated by the world; who is free from joy, impatience, intolerance, fear and anxiety is dear to him.
