Eid-Milad-un-Nabi or Mawlid or Barawafat commemorates the birth of Hazrat Muhammad Saheb or Prophet Muhammad. Though celebrated differently by Shias and Sunnis it is essentially a day to meditate on the teachings of the Prophet. It is also one of the days on which the relic of Hazrat Muhammad Saheb which is housed at the Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar, India which is displayed to devotees. Have a blessed Eid-Milad-un-Nabi.
