26th July 1999. The Indian Armed Forces declared victory in ‘Operation Vijay’. Thanks to the valour of her brave sons, India once again gained control of her territory. 527 of our young soldiers made the supreme sacrifice to protect their motherland. As we commemorate the Kargil victory on ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ year-on -year on 26th July, it is imperative to pay our homage to our martyrs and to express our gratitude to those who guard our nation.
