शान्ताकारं भुजगशयनं पद्मनाभं सुरेशं

विश्वाधारं गगनसदृशं मेघवर्णं शुभाङ्गम् ।

लक्ष्मीकान्तं कमलनयनं योगिभिर्ध्यानगम्यं

वन्दे विष्णुं भवभयहरं सर्वलोकैकनाथम् ॥

Meaning in English

I offer my salutations to Shri Vishnu who has a serene appearance, is lying on the great serpent Ananta with a lotus springing up from his navel and is the Lord of the Devas. I worship Shri Vishnu who is the foundation (consciousness) of the entire universe, is all-pervading and infinite like the sky, is bluish in colour like the clouds and is the embodiment of auspiciousness, is the beloved of Devi Lakshmi, has beautiful eyes that look like lotus petals and can be attained by the yogis only through meditation. I praise Shri Vishnu who removes the fear of life and death and who is the Lord of all worlds.

हिन्दी में भावार्थ 

मैं उन श्री विष्णु को नमस्कार करती हूँ जो शान्त स्वरूप वाले हैं, जो शेषनाग की शैय्या पर शयन कर रहे हैं, जिनकी नाभि से कमल निकला हुआ है, जो देवों के स्वामी हैं, जो सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्माण्ड के आधारभूत (चेतना) हैं और जो आकाश के समान सर्वव्यापी और अनन्त हैं। मैं उन श्री विष्णु की स्तुति करती हूँ जो बादलों के समान नीले वर्ण के हैं, जो शुभ हैं, जो देवी लक्ष्मी के प्रिय हैं, जिनके नेत्र कमल की पंखुड़ियों के समान सुन्दर हैं, जो योगियों द्वारा ध्यान के द्वारा प्राप्त किये जाते हैं, जो जीवन और मृत्यु के भय का नाश करते हैं और जो समस्त लोकों के स्वामी हैं।

Śāntākāraṃ bhujagaśayanaṃ padmanābhaṃ sureśaṃ

Viśvādhāraṃ gaganasadṛśaṃ meghavarṇaṃ śubhāṅgam |

Lakṣmīkāntaṃ kamalanayanaṃ yogibhirdhyānagamyaṃ

Vande viṣṇuṃ bhavabhayaharaṃ sarvalokaikanātham ||
