Eid-al-fitr Mubarak Greetings in Hindi and English

Eid-al-Fitr or Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated to mark the end of weeks of ritual fasting during the holy month of Ramzaan and is the most important festival in the Islamic calendar. In India, the festival is also referred to as ‘meethi Eid’ and namaaz is offered at large, decked-up idgahs and mosques across the country. The faithful give zakaat (make charitable donations) and greet each other with the customary Eid Mubarak. All communities join their Muslim sisters and brothers in the festivities and in the partaking of innumerable delicacies including the special sevayyain which is a signature dessert made of fine, toasted sweet vermicelli noodles that are cooked in ghee, milk and dry fruits.

Team Cultural Samvaad has put together some greetings in Hindi and English to wish your loved ones a Eid Mubarak! ईद मुबारक!
