Happy Teachers' Day - Sanskrit Shloka from Katha UpanishadTeachers’ Day is celebrated on 5th September every year in India to recognise the invaluable contribution that teachers and gurus make in nation building in honour of the first Vice-President and second President of independent India – Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

राष्ट्र निर्माण में शिक्षकों के बहुमूल्य योगदान को मान्यता प्रदान करने हेतु एवं स्वतन्त्र भारत के पहले उपराष्ट्रपति और दूसरे राष्ट्रपति – भारत रत्न डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन के सम्मान में, भारत में हर वर्ष, ५ सितम्बर को शिक्षक दिवस मनाया जाता है।
