Narasimha is popularly regarded as the fourth incarnation of Vishnu (4 among the Dashavatars or 10 avatars of Vishnu). References to this beloved deity of the Hindus who is in the form of half-man and half-lion can be traced to the Rig Veda. In the Puranas, the young Prahlada is his favourite devotee and their story is also associated with the festival of Holi. Narasimha Jayanti (नृसिंह जयन्ती | नरसिंह जयन्ती) is celebrated on Vaisakha Shukla Chaturdashi (the day before the full moon on Poornima in the mont of Vaishakha – April-May).

Team Cultural Samvaad has curated a collection of some famous shlokas, quotes and verses in Sanskrit (with meanings in English and Hindi) that you can use as wishes and greetings on Narasimha Jayanti.
